A gift from my bf - the Katta poster by Studio Violet. I received it yesterday and was totally happily surprised. I love it (yeah and him too ;))!

weekend, finally!

Morning, blueberry oatmeal & soya latte. Thank god it's weekend and I have holidays next week. I have to work a bit and go to school on Thursday, but I will wake up when I feel like it (so probably at 9am). I have little something to do everyday but I'll try hard to relax. I'm looking for a place to do my two month internship, but finding a place is harder than I thought.

I'm going to vote today, we have municipal election going on in Finland now.
My candidate says:

Get cars out of the way!
I want to make space for bikes, buses and pedestrians.

Loitering allowed
The artificial need to consume should not determine the way we live and spend our time.

A city without borders
Racism exercised in buses must not be tolerated. Nonnative looks should not be grounds for asking for identification.

A carbon free Helsinki
I want a wind farm in front of Helsinki and solar panels on our rooftops.

Yellow turns grey

Almost all the leaves have fallen from the tree I see outside our bedroom window (the window in the picture is from somewhere else). It looks much colder outside now.

Studio Violet opened a shop! I'm so tempted to buy the "Katta" poster. Ah!

That was last night and today it's Sunday and I should work a bit, 400 photos to go through. I'm going to bake a plum pie later! I'm happy I don't have to wake up at 6 in two weeks.

My new lens is finally here, yay.

This morning I woke up at 6.15 am as usual and went to school just to find out that our teacher had cancelled the classes today. Our email didn't work yesterday so we didn't get the message he sent. Uhhh. To go to school I take two busses, first to city centre and then the other bus to school. One way it's about 40 kilometers and takes 1.5 hours.

I started to read Taikatalvi again. Makes me feel better. Who is your favorite moomin character? I'm not sure, but I really like Snufkin and Too-Ticky. Hard to write about moomins in English, all the names sound so weird.

I'm writing this on a new computer. This is supposed to be a super machine and I bet it can almost finish my school work on it's own. We have quite many computers, two laptops (will get rid of the other one), this new monster mostly used for school work, photoshopping etc, another one in our livingroom for movies, music, watching tv and i don't even know how many old computers (commodore, msx, amiga). This is what you get if you live with a nerd! And I didn't even start with game consoles. We are not saving energy, I'm afraid (of course we are not using all of them at the same time. but still...).

I've been tired lately. It's been sunny even, but early mornings and me just don't match. A four-five day trip to somewhere would be something now! I need new thoughts and fresh air.
